Our supporters

This academic year, St Michaels was awarded a grant from the MOD Covenant Fund. This grant has enabled us to offer some wonderful opportunities and support for our Military children and families.

To date, we have used this grant to fund a range of activities such as climbing wall sessions, access to alternative provision activities, wonderful therapeutic art sessions for children, and most recently parent-child sessions.

We have been able to fund family THRIVE training for our wonderful thrive practitioners who following completion of training, now deliver regular family thrive sessions to support our families; these courses will continue to be offered for the foreseeable future, supporting families to build strong relationships and work together to improve outcomes for the whole family.

Through these activities, we aim to support and empower parents, support pupils emotionally, and to enhance engagement with learning, therefore increasing academic success. We also hope that we can continue to strengthen relationships between home and school and provide activities that enrich activities available to our school community.

We are currently in the process of investigating possible further opportunities, including cookery sessions, martial arts and further creative opportunities for children and their families.
