Reading Picnics at St. Michael’s

During the first week of term 6, parents were invited in for the final half an hour of the day to bring a blanket and a book to share with their children outside. The mostly glorious weather (and the snacks made by Y6 children) were a real draw and so many of our families came to spend time with their children reading and discussing their books. The smiles and the happy ‘buzz’ each afternoon was a real joy to see. Reaction from the parents, children and staff has been overwhelmingly positive, with some even asking if it could be a more regular occurrence.
